Trees bear fruit for others. Rivers flow for others to use. Cows give milk for others. This body of ours too is meant to serve others.

Gosamrakshanam Cow Protection - गोब्राह्मणेभ्यः शुभमस्तु नित्यम्

We are running a Goshaalaa to protect the local breed of cows which are facing extinction and to educate interested farmers in natural farming. Started with a few cows, the number has increased to around 42 now. We try to maintain and care for them in a protective environment. Since the numbers have increased, we have extended the shed for accomodating more cows. We have cultivated corn naturally using only jeevamrutam as fertilizer and are using this as fodder for our cows. Jeevamrutam is a natural fertilizer made by mixing Cow dung, urine, besan/flour and some gud/sugar with water and fermenting it for a few days.

Free Tuition classes - Sandhya Gurukulam

We were conducting free evening tuition classes (Sandhya Gurukulam) for Children of Therku Paappaankulam village from Aug 2016 onwards, with three teachers. The number of students who attend our free tuition class at Therku Paappaankulam has grown to more than 40. In another class at Ambedkar Nagar, Therku Paappaankulam around 20 students are attending the classes.

These classes benefitted the children as many of them are first generation literates and have no academic support from their parents and family. We have already seen good improvement in academic performance of the children who attend these classes regularly.

These classes have been suspended since the COVID19 pandemic.
